■ 暑中お見舞い申し上げます
クーラーも扇風機もないところで、ハード・ディスクの熱にまみれながら、
暑中お見舞いを申し上げます。
すでに有名なこのカバー、この暑さの中で聴くといっそう響きわたるように思います。もちろんクーラー等の効いた場所で聴いても、沁みわたるでしょう。美しい。斜め上から捉えたカメラ・アングルも素適で、前列の奏者たちの腕の動きがそろっているところ(同じ音を出しているから腕の動きが揃うのも当然なのですが)など、視覚でも楽しんでしまいます。
上に挙げたAphex Twinsのカバーの美しさに堪能したのならば、そこで終わっていればよいものの、ついお笑い方向にベクトルが向いてしまい・・・・

なんてねぇ・笑。
これも同じSteel Panグループがパフォーマンスしている有名な映像。
アイデアも演奏も素晴らしいのですが、パロディとキワキワでせめぎあっていてるところが、またいっそうスバラシイ。見るたびに笑い転げて発汗しています。これを見て暑くなったら、最初に挙げたAlberto Balsalm のカバーを聴いてください。
